While I was nearing the end of my mat leave, it hit me how much I didn’t want to go back to a 9-5 job. So I soon came up with a crazy business idea that would mean not having to return to a company that had rejected my request for part-time and/or remote work. The problem was that my crazy idea was good—I just didn’t know what to do with it. Allison was able to help me take my big idea and turn it into a realistic 6-month plan. I remember walking out of that first meeting with her feeling like I could really do make this work. It was no longer a “crazy idea,” but an achievable goal. The amazing thing about Allison is that she’s encouraging but realistic. She’s not going to tell you a bunch of things you want to hear. (That’s what your mom is for!) She’s going to tell you what you need to know to make your big idea work. And she is full of great ideas herself! It’s great knowing I have a fellow mom who also left behind a successful career to run her own business on my side. She gets it. And that’s so important. I couldn’t ask for a better coach.

"Allison helped me tremendously in figuring out the next steps in my career: the weekly sessions with her were well-structured, her assignments thoughtfully laid out and her feedback was precise and to the point. She has an amazing network of clients and contacts who are willing to lend a hand. Above all, I appreciated her personalized approach to our sessions, where she tailored everything to my specific needs and answered all of my questions and concerns.

Thank-you so much for everything this past year! You really helped me get to where I am now; feeling fulfilled at my job for the first time in almost three years! Not to mention having a clearer path for what I want out of my career.

“Like most people, I dread job hunting. The process requires too much navel gazing and ultimately I end up full of self-criticisms and doubts. I would rather eat worms than the job hunt. Seriously. Working with Allison changed everything. She taught me that job hunting should not be take up my whole day and that I might as well enjoy some of this time off as well. I enjoyed our time together immensely and I have come to think of Allison as my professional fairy godmother!”

When I returned to work as a single mom in a leading, internationally-based digital marketing agency, I quickly came to realize just how much water I was under! I felt as though my skills and interests were underutilized in the role, but conversely completely overwhelmed and overworked in it.

Anxiety hung over me, I lost a lot of sleep, and although I tried my best, the reality is I did a mediocre job at both of my roles for a while.

That’s when fate intervened and I met Allison Venditti. She’s an excellent listener, motivator, and communicator. She helped me focus on my strengths when I was struggling and helped me reinvent my career so my skills and talents – and passion – would come first.

Because of Allison, I landed my dream job! I’m now in a career that I love, and which brings me great growth opportunities, and challenges – and the work-life balance to be an engaged mom to my little man; I’ve even some time for myself! I couldn’t have done it without Allison – whom I cannot thank enough!

Allison not only restored my confidence in myself but also in the job-hunting journey. She was instrumental to landing the job that was right for me. I could not have done it without her industry insight and constructive coaching!

I was lucky to meet Allison while reflecting on my post-baby career and searching for options to work part-time while also being able to be the primary caretaker of my two little ones.

Allison was well prepared and presented clear possibilities along with tips for the paths I would have to go in order to be successful with either career way. She did an excellent job in pointing out opportunities that match the skill set I already have as a teacher. I ended up following her idea and started my own children program.

She has not only pointed me towards an interesting direction of becoming a mompreneur, but also remains in touch and uses her connections to support me in building my small business.

WOW! Talk about results! I had been actively interviewing for over 4 months with no luck. I chatted with Allison at Careerlove in one of the mini sessions and she was able to see the one question I was answering that was causing the problem. With that one chat, I was better prepared for my next interview and aced it. I was offered the position within one week. Thank you Careerlove!
